Life is ever-changing, one moment I am sad and the next I am beaming with happiness. hehehehe well you can guess how I feel now. Anyway I had a great night last night… and no I didn’t go out and go large. I stayed in last night and completed watching Lie to Me.
Lie to Me is the first Korean series that I have watched. I am happy that I started with it…..hmmmm its sounds like I am going to become an addict! But seriously now, it was real good acting by Yoon Eun-Hye and Kang Ji-Hwan. Very natural. Awe just thinking about the pretty Yoon Eun-Hye makes me smile! The story is sought of predictable, but the episodes were delivered so well that it feels like a fresh plot. hmmm I cant seem to find any complaints, the soundtrack was good too.

I shall not write a synopsis of this great series. I shall leave it to you to watch it. Ahhh it’s a glorious day. I think I will go to campus later.
A couple of days ago there was a webcast from CERN about the status of the Higgs boson. Two talks were given by the ATLAS and CMS teams. I only stayed to watch the ATLAS talk. It’s an exciting time in Physics! It was reported that there were 3 events at ~126 GeV, which is exciting since this is smaller than expected mass of the Higgs. Well 3 events is definitely not enough for confirmation of a discovery but the situation is looking suspicious at 126 GeV! Not much more wiggle room for the Higgs to escape to if it exists! The poor guys at the Tevatron must be pulling their hair out for not seeing a signal there! If only they were given more time!
Hehehe life is good. My emotions fluctuate so quickly recently, I think I am not stable at all!! hehehe the fact that I can type this out and still smile gives me something to think about!
Anyway, the festive season is almost here! Here’s me wishing you a good one!
ahhh time just flies by. I have been keeping busy with the sudden interest my supervisor has taken in my project work.
hehehehe for the past 2 months I have been wandering around aimlessly in the junk yard of technical papers. Reading the garbage that others have written and finding no use for their work (as you can surmise my bias against these papers which seem to do nothing but waste the electricity that was used in its preparation). Gone are the days when physicists used to think long and hard before they publish, and make lasting contributions to Physics. Anyway, there is no point in raging about this!
I turned instead to the ever faithful text-book to add to my knowledge of gauge theories. There’s the good and bad here too, with some being too simple and never quite getting to the stuff that you need, while others skim through the details so quickly that you are left behind, stuck in a pothole that would require a course in differential geometry and functional analysis to full. Ahh academic life is never simple. You cover up one of the holes in your knowledge only to see another being exposed.
Sometimes I wonder if there will ever come a time in my life when I shall be able to breeze through the complicated mathematics and be able to extract the physics with little effort. To see and hear what the equations are whispering. If Feynman was still around I wonder if would still stick to his claim that all physics should be explained with his hand gestures!
Ok guys I am going to be honest now, The previous paragraph was when I was sober. I just came back from a night with the guys and I can remember much of wha happened! It was the birthday of a friend who just turned 30, and he wanted to go large! Well he went large but I think in all fairness that as I write this that none of us as were prepared for how intoxicated all of us were at the end of the night!
My eyes are starting to droop. So I think that this is the end of the night! Till another time guys on the net! Be cool and chill! hehehehe I laugh about it but I think the best quality about me right now is that I am patient and willing to take the blame for anything is necessary to save a friend! Irrationality prevails dudes! I don’t know if Justin would agree with this since he puked twice on the pavement tonight! He is a great friend of mine! heheheh He is fast asleep right now as I blog. In fact I think that all of them are asleep!.
